Our Story

The Upper Midwest Golden Gloves is part of one of the most storied amateur boxing traditions in the United States. Rooted in the Golden Gloves legacy that began in the early 20th century, the Upper Midwest franchise proudly serves athletes and boxing communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

For decades, UMGG has provided a proving ground where discipline, character, and opportunity are forged. More than a tournament, it has shaped generations of fighters, coaches, and leaders—preserving tradition while creating pathways for athletes to grow both in and out of the ring.
