Upper Midwest Golden Gloves Tournament

July 15th – 17th, 2022

NEW!  The Upper Midwest Golden Gloves (UMGG) will be combining the four regions into ONE tournament this year.  Grand Casino Hinckley will be hosting the UMGG three-day tournament that will include our new Four Regional Tournament.  Along with the Four Regional Tournament, we will also be including a Novice division in the UMGG this year. 

Friday, July 15th: The Four Regional Tournament; Weigh In’s/Medicals 3pm, bout time 7pm

Saturday, July 16th: Semi Finals; Weigh in/Medicals; 9am, bout time 7pm

Sunday, July 17th: Championships: Weigh in/Medicals: 9am, bout time noon

Boxers Qualifications

  1. OPEN boxers: Must have a minimum of 5 bouts total with 2 bouts fought on or after August 7th 2021 at time of registration. NOVICE boxers: No minimum bout requirements.
  2. Boxer must be 18 years of age or older by the tournament date of July 15th 2022.
  3. Citizenship is not required.
  4. It is required that all boxers have their picture, physical, birth certificate or passport uploaded to their 2022 USA Boxing registration card. If information is not uploaded, you will not be able to register.  If you need assistance with this, please email Cindy at csatwp@yahoo.com.
  5. OPEN boxer: bouts will be 3/3’s  NOVICE boxers: bouts will be 3/2’s
  6. Boxer must box for the region they are registered in through USA Boxing.
  7. Boxer must fill out a Match Tracker/Missing Match form for any bouts not listed in USA Match Tracker.
  8. All boxers must be clean shaven for this advancing tournament.
  9. Open face USA boxing approved headgear only: no hair outside of headgear; see Boxers Uniform Guidelines information sheet.
  10. NOTE: Only OPEN boxers that box for the UMGG Championship will qualify for the Golden Gloves National tournament to be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma August 6-13th

 

Registration

Registration will end on July 5th, 2022 by 5pm central standard time.
There will be a registration fee of $25 per boxer. All boxers, coaches, and officials must register online for this tournament. All participating boxers have their picture, physical and birth certificate uploaded to their USA Boxing 2022 registration card in order to register.
